For In My Head, I started with making a massive slab. To do this I rolled multiple slabs and joined them together. I then cut my tiles and laid them so they had some space between them so they wouldn’t stick back together.
Then I began to apply my texture to each tile. I extruded coils, then hand rolled each one flat. Then I cut a flat edge down the side of the flattened coil, and then attached that edge to the tile.
I bisque fired the tiles to cone 04.
I then sprayed iron oxide over the all the tiles and then fired it to cone 5 and attached all the tiles to a wood board. Then used a french hanger to hang the piece.
